In my capstone I have dealt with many social issues ranging from racism, poverty, education, and the loss of language. All of them are anthropological and link people through humanity and thought. I’m most interested by issues that have plagued humanity in the modern world.

Through my research I hoped to gain a better understanding of the issues under the surface of modern day society and possible solutions to the issues. Ted ed speakers were my main source of information along with news articles. I gained a better understanding about the opinions of everyday Americans from polls and quotes.

To better grasp the lives of people living in poverty, racism, lack of education, or loss of language was my goal. I believe I have achieved some part of that goal. My goal was not to break down the ideals and qualities of America but to highlight its major issues so that people of all identities could better come to terms with how everyone is treated.
