I’m interested in anthropology because I’m curious about how the world interacts and the people in it. I’m intrigued by how different or similar human societies are and have been and what compels people to take action in politics, religion and otherwise.

Famous anthropologists 

Paul Farmer anthropologist is unlike many doctors, and anthropologists. Farmer has lived for decades with his patients, first in Haiti and later on in communities in Rwanda to poor neighborhoods in Boston. Farmer’s work is committed to social justice, global equity, and the idea that healthcare is a human right.

 

Margaret Mead, Mead taught at a number of institutions, but her long term professional base was at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. She authored some twenty books and coauthored an equal number. She was much honored in her lifetime, serving as president of major scientific associations, including the American Anthropological Association.
